Meet Everett
My name is Everett Dietzler, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and a Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Practitioner. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ and transgender and gender non-conforming folks, as well as neurodivergent clients, who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, identity, and relationships. A lot of my work centers on the tension between attachment and authenticity, and the impact minority stress has on how we show up with ourselves, in our relationships, and in the world.
I help by holding space as a client-centered therapist. I believe my clients are the experts in their own lives, and that we each already carry the tools to heal ourselves. My role is to help you slow down enough to tune into that inner healing intelligence. My approach is holistic rather than diagnostic, and I draw from parts work, somatic experiencing, polyvagal theory, and mindfulness, all through a trauma-informed lens, tailoring the mix to what each client actually needs.
In our first few sessions, you can expect us to get to know each other and start building the foundation for our work together. I'll ask about what's bringing you in and what you're hoping therapy can help shift, and we'll shape goals collaboratively from there. Expect a warm, inviting, and spacious environment grounded in curiosity and compassion. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard and with a clearer sense of whether we're a good fit.
My practice is unique because it's informed by decades of my own experience navigating marginalized identities (transgender, queer, AuDHD), alongside training as a psychedelic facilitator and a graduate education in Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy from Naropa University. I bring all of that into the room: a grounded presence, a belief in healing through connection, and firsthand understanding of what it takes to close the gap between attachment and authenticity.
I am passionate about this work because experiencing significant traumatic loss throughout my life is ultimately what called me to it. I believe grief is life's greatest teacher when we allow ourselves to move through it and be transformed by it. By healing ourselves, we expand not only what is possible for our lives, but for our communities and the world.
